Prerequisites:

• database running
• listener running
• port 1158 open
• add export ORACLE_UNQNAME=<your database name> to .bash_profile

Configure and startup OEM:

enter the following in the console

# emca -config dbcontrol db
# emctl start agent
# emctl start dbconsole
# emctl status dbconsole

use a browser to connect to the OEM Console
